markopolo Posted June 22, 2019 Report Share Posted June 22, 2019 (edited) I bought HK MR 5,56 A1 competition rifle. Took off CTR stock off and installed HK E1 stock. Switch competition upper with my friend for a HK MR 5.56 A1 upper. After that I send it to Mr Jayson at IGF for 416 configuration. He Shorten to 14.5 and Thread 1/2 x 28 ,Re-Profile to M4/Socom, Permanently Attach Muzzle Device (for non-SBR), installing original HK 416 gas block and Nitride Treatment. Nitride also known as Melonite for the barrel and for the gas block. The nitride finish is a nice finish that hardens and slickens the steel surfaces and also increases corrosion resistance both outside the barrel and inside the bore. This surface hardening and added corrosion resistance makes the barrel easier to clean and noticeably increases the life of barrels and parts such as the gas block.
