My mp43 handguard has a hideous inventory number on the tabs that touch the receiver and have defaced the usual aql subcontractor's code. The Germans never stamped a numerical code on the handguard, not even the serial number. The Stg44 unit has fewer vent holes, but I am not that choosy. Let me know if you come across any of these.
