I bought an SBR from him and just happened to have a trip that weekend scheduled and I was not more than 15 mins away from his shop. The hour I spent there was the best hour of the whole trip! I met him over at flub-guns back in the late 80's, when C3 was a fun, personable, semi affordable hobby and you still could afford to buy stuff without mortgaging your home. My deals with Jim were also top shelf, and professional. He's one of the original "good guys" of C 3 from way back in the early Vollmer machine gun sales era. How I miss those golden days of C3!
