  1. Hi All, Going to have the Executor of the transferee's estate call BATF on this one but any first hand knowledge would be helpful: This is the situation. 1.) NFA registered item is shipped to the SOT. 2.) Form 4 to an individual is filled out and submitted to BATFE. 3.) Transferee passes away. 4.) Form 4 is approved to the Transferee (now deceased). The question is can the Executor of the Transferee's estate take possession of the NFA registered item from the Transferor SOT w/o an additional transfer. It has now been several months since the Transferee has passed away. This situation is something I've not encountered before. Thoughts? Thanks, Grasshopper
  2. I have the machines and tools, and now the time. If I get an SOT 01 or 07 (and I have some bling-type MG parts kits for the movie business already - the stranger the better in the rental business!!!!): What are my options to KEEP or DISPOSE of the post sample I BUILD after I give up the SOT What are my options to KEEP or DISPOSE of post samples I BUY after i give up the SOT? Do the Form 4 guns I already have go on the SOT license (they're in trust) or are they unaffected? Just asking because health issues are just around the corner but I do want to build a few things I can rent to the film industry. In this complex world, the background information turns out to be as important as the start up information. Any pitfalls for applying for the SOT? thanks for answering
  3. I am wondering if anyone here has experience with having firearms (semi-auto) imported/transferred from Europe into the US. I have a seller in Germany that I am trying to finalize a deal with on a semi-automatic pistol and have no idea what type of FFL I need to use in order to have the firearm imported. Anyone have any guidance for me? Also, any fees a first-timer wouldn't know about it (from the US side...I have been told about all of the non-US fees by the seller). Thanks in advance. Stephen
