  5. This is a beautiful Colt Thompson SMG 1921AC that was shipped to the Saline County Sheriff’s Department in July of 1933. According to Gordon Herigstad’s book, this gun was in a fire at the Buffalo Rock Shooting Range in IL in 1988. The same book says it was restored by Darnall’s Gun Works of Bloomington, IL. There has been some discussion online about this gun, that, perhaps it was in the rear of the building that did not catch fire but that it received water damage. Regardless, whoever restored it did an excellent job. The numbers on the receiver and the lower match. The Cutts compensator has the shallow cuts and no markings, as it should. The barrel is factory Colt as is the actuator and most of the internal parts, including the bolt and the recoil spring assembly. The wood and wood hardware are not original Colt. It comes with (1) 50 round type L drum as well as (5) stick mags. One of the mags is a patent date mag proper for Colt. It also comes with a case as shown in the photos. Below is a link to apx. (58) hi-res photos and one video of me shooting it. It functions flawlessly. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/13HrD96_RpxAgqRJ3NDKoKpbcVBagUzLz?usp=sharing This machinegun is registered to me (Firearms 4 Less, LLC) on a form 4 in Arkansas. Upon receipt of payment, I will transfer it via electronic form 3 to your dealer in your state. $32500 + $200 shipping. Please email or call with any questions. Brennan Firearms 4 Less, LLC. 11. We have for sale a fully transferable Savage-made Auto Ordnance M1 Thompson 45 ACP SMG manufactured in Bridgeport, CT. S/N: 139958 (receiver only). Trigger frame has no S/N. Both the receiver and trigger frame were manufactured by Savage as noted by the "S" stamp near the magwell on the receiver, the FJA stamp on the receiver, the encircled GEG acceptance stamps on both the receiver and the trigger frame, and the "FULL AUTO" being on two lines on the trigger frame. It has the beveled trap door on the stock indicating it is early production. It has the protected rear sight which first appeared on the Savage M1s in the high 137000 range. It has a floating firing pin and a non-riveted grip mount, also correct for the M1 models. We believe this to be manufactured in the late 1942 to early 1943 time frame. 19. Excellent With 95% Plus Of The Parkerized/Blued Finish With Minor Light Edge And High Spot Wear Overall And Signs Of Light Firing. This is a scarce example of an originally unfinished WWII 1928A1 Thompson submachine gun initially manufactured by the Savage Arms Company under license from the Auto-Ordnance Company and then completed by the Numrich Arms Company. In the early 1970s, George Numrich acquired a huge amount of WWII spare parts and partially completed Thompson submachine receivers and barreled receiver from both the Auto-Ordnance and Savage companies and at the same time imported a large numbers of Thompsons from overseas. Using that stock pile of parts, he completed/assembled all the remaining stock of receivers and barreled receivers from the two companies into complete 1928 Thompson SMGs. He was required to remark the receivers he completed with his "NAC" serial numbering, hence the current serial number "S-527235 NAC", and sold them as commercial weapons. The receiver is marked with "MODEL OF 1928 A1/NO. S-527235 NAC" and farther back "THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN/CALIBRE .45 AUTOMATIC CARTRIDGE". It still retains its original late production short pattern 10 1/2 inch barrel without any cooling fins, a late commercial model Thompson/Auto-Ordnance "CUTTS" marked compensator, horizontal forend, fully adjustable Lyman rear sight, and a detachable buttstock. The underside of the lower trigger housing is correctly numbered and matching serial number (S-527235 NAC) to the receiver. It has a dark gray parkerized receiver and a matte blued trigger housing and barrel assembly. It is fitted with the correct walnut forend, pistol grip and buttstock. This Thompson SMG is complete with a 30 round stick magazines and one drum magazine.Way Better than a Wet Hurley at the same price. This is basically a New World War Two Thompson This is on a Form 3 And will be E-Filed for Immediate Transfer at $23,995! $ 22,995 $22500

  21. Auto Ordnance 1928 AC

Very Nice Mid War Version of the 1928A1. Actually Auto Ordnance took 1928a1 for commercial sale and Stamped "C" over the 1 so it reads Model 1928AC This is a very clean example with looks to have most of its original finish, not reparkerized. And since these were sold to police departments or commercial sales, they did not see much use.Shipping Included. Ships With a period correct drum and 30 round magazine. Fully Transferable .Lower is a AO in the same Serial Range with a "X" suffix properly added to the serial number .The Frame also has the "x" added to the number as Mentioned in the Literature. They are not GI or US Purchased Thompsons used by the US Military during the WarI. In almost every case as in this one a AO Prefixed Receiver was Mated to a AO Prefixed Frame.Documented Sales of the 1928a1 ended in October of 1942 and this variation begsn in 1943 and continued until 1946 under Maguire Industries. Most were sold to Law Enforcement Agencies. This variation is Mentioned in Frank Iannamico's book American Thunder as the Third Variation with Smooth Barrel, L sight. This is a "must have": for the Thompson Collector as it is its own Variant. This is on a Form3 And will be E filed for Immediate Transfer $22,500

  23. This is a very nice condition Thompson Bridgeport model 1928AC .45 caliber submachinegun transferable. This will come with the FBI case, one Crosby and one Bridgeport 50 round drum and four 30 round magazines, of which one is a Seymour, one a Bridgeport and the other two standard US. This is a rare variation with numbers matching on the upper and lower receivers. SOLD This is a steal of a price for an original Bridgeport compared to what they were selling for a year or so ago. The market will eventually come back on these. Information on the 1928AC Bridgeport: An interesting variation of the Auto-Ordnance, Bridgeport produced M1928A1 Thompson that has been observed, are those Thompsons that have had the U.S. designation ground off and the A1 mark overstamped to read AC. Many of the guns documented had been refurbished, and fitted with the smooth barrels and the “L” style fixed rear sight. Many, but certainly not all, of these guns so altered were in the 150,000 to 152,000 serial number range. A letter X was added as a suffix on the serial numbers of many of these guns. A few other examples of these “1928AC” Thompsons documented were fitted with the finned barrel and Lyman adjustable rear sight. A small number of these Thompsons had their original military horizontal foregrip replaced with the early style vertical foregrip. It is believed that these were guns that had been purchased from the government by the Auto-Ordnance Corporation and refurbished in order to be sold to law enforcement agencies after they were surplused. The Numrich Arms Corporation also removed U.S. markings from 1928 and 1928A1 model Thompsons they sold in the 1950’s. Interestingly, some of the AO “1928AC” overstamped Thompsons did not have Army Inspector of Ordnance (AIO) acceptance stamps on them, but were stamped with the Ordnance “wheel” acceptance mark. While other examples of these guns had no government inspector or acceptance stamps at all, suggesting that they were never inspected or accepted by the U.S. Government. Perhaps these guns were contract overruns or assembled from parts that remained after the government contracts were filled. However, no documentation could be located that could prove or disprove this theory. A Treasury Department IRS Form dated June 30, 1944 reveals that two Auto-Ordnance manufacture U.S. 1928A1 Thompsons with an X suffix added to the serial numbers were sold to a Massachusetts police department that year. The U.S. was ground off and the letter C over stamped on the 1 on both of the guns. Please note that the war didn’t end until the 15th of August 1945. All of the 1928 “AC” guns documented were originally manufactured by the Auto-Ordnance Corporation’s Bridgeport factory, and in almost every case had an AO prefixed serial numbered frame, although most of the frame/receiver numbers were mis-matched. The serial numbers located on the frames of these weapons also had the letter X added to them. ALL NFA rules apply. This is on a Form 3 and will transfer via eForms, very fast. Free and insured shipping within the 48 states. Payment via certified funds
