During the Cold War the FAL was adopted by many countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, with the notable exception of the United States. It is one of the most widely used rifles in history, having been used by more than 90 countries. Because of its prevalence and widespread usage among the militaries of many NATO and first world countries during the Cold War, it was given the title "The right arm of the Free World". It is chambered for the 7.62×51mm NATO cartridge. The British Commonwealth variant of the FAL was redesigned from FN's metrical FAL into British imperial units and was produced under licence as the L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle.Wikipedia Type: Battle rifle Place of origin:Belgium In service:1953–present Used by:90+ countries (See Users)Designer:Dieudonné Saive Designed:1947–53 Manufacturer:FN Herstal, Fabricaciones Militares, IMBEL Produced:1953–present (Production by FN stopped in 1988) Number built:7,000,000 Variants:See Variants Weight:FAL 50.00: 4.25 kg, FAL 50.61: 4.45 kg (9.81 lb), FAL 50.62: 4.3 kg (9.48 lb), FAL 50.63: 3.75 kg (8.27 lb), FAL 50.64: 3.9 kg (8.6 lb), FAL 50.41: 5.1 kg (11.24 lb), FAL 50.42: 6 kg (13.23 lb) Length:FAL 50.00 (fixed stock): 1,090 mm (42.91 in), FAL 50.61 (stock extended): 1,095 mm (43.11 in), FAL 50.61 (stock folded): 845 mm (33.27 in), FAL 50.62 (stock extended): 1,020 mm (40.16 in), FAL 50.62 (stock folded): 770 mm (30.31 in), FAL 50.63 (stock extended): 998 mm (39.29 in), FAL 50.63 (stock folded): 748 mm (29.45 in), FAL 50.41 (fixed stock): 1,125 mm (44.29 in) Barrel length:FAL 50.00: 533 mm (20.98 in), FAL 50.61: 533 mm (20.98 in), FAL 50.62: 458 mm (18.03 in), FAL 50.63: 436 mm (17.17 in), FAL 50.41: 533 mm (20.98 in) Cartridge:7.62×51mm NATO Action:Gas-operated, tilting breechblock Rate of fire:700 rounds/min (fully automatic), variable (semi-automatic) Muzzle velocity:FAL 50.00, FAL 50.61, FAL 50.64, FAL 50.41: 840 m/s, FAL 50.63: 810 m/s Effective firing range:FAL 50.00, FAL 50.41: 600 m, FAL 50.61, FAL 50.62, FAL 50.63, FAL 50.64: 300 m Feed system:20- or 30-round detachable box magazine. 50-round drum magazines are also available. The only mode of fire was fully automatic, but the relatively low rate of fire enabled single shots with controlled trigger pulls. The bolt features a telescoping return spring guide which serves as a pneumatic recoil buffer. The cocking handle was permanently attached to the bolt on early MP 38s, but on late production MP 38s and MP 40s, the bolt handle was made as a separate part. It also served as a safety by pushing the head of the handle into one of two separate notches above the main opening; this action locked the bolt either in the cocked (rear) or uncocked (forward) position. The absence of this feature on early MP 38s resulted in field expedients such as leather harnesses with a small loop that were used to hold the bolt in the forward position. The MP 38 receiver was made of machined steel, but this was a time-consuming and expensive process. To save time and materials, and thus increase production, construction of the MP 40 receiver was simplified by using stamped steel and electro-spot welding as much as possible. The MP 38 also features longitudinal grooving on the receiver and bolt, as well as a circular opening on the magazine housing. These features were eliminated on the MP 40. 4. I have for trade or for sale a very nice MP40 mag loader coded kur 43 (late war Steyr). This has about 80 to 85% original finish left. I found an earlier loader so this one is for trade or sale and works perfect. I would be interested in a trade for either a nice MP40 mag (ribbed variety) or a 1941 or 1942 dated mag loader. I would rather trade but I would consider selling for $140 post paid or best offer. I can send pics to interested parties. Email feldherrnhalle@hotmail.com or text (307) 670-3039. Thanks for taking a look at my ad.
  5. WTT Hank Williams Jr. MP40

Hello, I have for trade the one and only MP40 that Country Music Legend Hank Williams Jr. registered in the November 1968 Amnesty. Comes with a copy of the original paperwork. This gun is coded ayf43 and is a mismatched, reblued, shooter grade gun with a cool story. Gun came back a short while ago from Bubba Naess at Black River Militaria in Vermont. He worked on the gun for the last year and it shoots like new. It is a mainly matching gun with the following parts matching: endcap, trigger guard, stock, receiver tube, rear site, firing pin. Mismatched are bolt (original), slab side magwell (original), barrel (postwar), barrel nut (postwar???), cocking handle sleeve (postwar). The gun is on a Form 4 in the Forever West State of Wyoming. If you might be interested in this gun, then I suggest you come to see it in person. I am a short flight from Denver, CO about a 45 minute flight. The gun is not for sale as it is my shooter gun but would be willing to trade to help complete my code collection. What I want in trade: I am looking for a shooter grade C&R MP40. Finish is not important to me as long as the gun runs good. However, I am looking for specific codes. The codes I am mainly interested in are in this order: fxo41, fxo42, bnz41, bnz42, or bnz43 only. I would not be interested in other codes like 27, 122 or 660. May consider a rewat or a possible dewat. Your gun must have the ribbed magwell, push button cocking handle, and the six sided barrel nut. Email is feldherrnhalle@hotmail.com or call or text (307) 670-3039. I am stone cold retarded when it comes to posting pics but I can send them to your email or phone. Just let me know and I will send them to you. Thank you for taking the time to read my ad. 14. Pulled Ad

Hello, I am selling the C&R MP40 Amnesty registered by Country Music Legend Hank Williams Jr. (A Country Boy Can Survive, Me and My Rowdy Friends). Son of Nashville Royalty Hank Williams, Sr. (Hey Good Lookin, Your Cheatin Heart, I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, etc.) Comes with a copy of original Amnesty form dated 1969. Gun is coded ayf 43 and is mismatched and reblued. Most parts match (end cap, trigger guard, folding stock, receiver tube, rear site, and firing pin). Mismatched parts are bolt (original), mag well (original), but I believe this was a period replacement, barrel (postwar), barrel nut (postwar?) I also believe the cocking handle is postwar.. The sear is in the white so my guess is postwar. As said before gun is reblued over light pitting. I took the gun out on Friday and shot 250 rounds through it (Winchester white box and PMC) the result was no jams and ran like a sewing machine. I have no idea how to post pics but I am very good at sending them from my phone. Priced at $24,750. On a Form 4 in WY. 100% Funds upfront to start paperwork. I strongly suggest coming to see the gun in person. I am a short 45 minute jet ride from Denver. You can fly in on United or fly in on your private jet. I am also open to a partial trade for one of the following: 1) Beretta 38/42 or 38/44 2) Smith and Wesson 76 3) Sten tube gun or possibly C&R gun 4) WW2 Luger shooter grade (valued from $1000-$1500 or so) 5) Erma EMP, MP34o Phone (307) 670-3039 Mountain Time Call or Text, email feldherrnhalle@hotmail.com Robert
