SOLD World War One Vintage Colt 1911 Pistol For Sale. Manufactured in 1918, this 1911 is in NRA Excellent * (Antique) condition. It has the deep "black" blueing associated with fine early 1911s. As shown in the photos, it has normal wear for a daily carry sidearm. It has a fine bore and is in perfect operating condition. The original pistol belt retains its original brown leather holster and magazine pouch. An early design from Gordon Ingram of MAC/M10 fame, the M6 was developed in the late 1940s as a tubular receiver submachine gun emulating the ergonomics and appearance of the Thompson SMG. Mechanically, the major distinction was the use of a two-stage trigger, with a gentle press producing semi-automatic fire and a full squeeze initiating full automatic fire; a conventional selector switch is also supplied on some models, like this one, that disables the full auto trigger position when engaged. I bought this as a Vietnam bringback item, person I bought it from was a huge Type 56 collector. Looks legit to me. This particular FSB does not have a rivet to hold the bayonet, it is a small threaded screw instead. Most of the finish is gone but has a nice even patina, couple areas of surface rust and light pitting at top of the sight housing. Would be perfect for a battlefield pickup look which was what I was going to do originally. Comes with the front sight post but no plunger/spring for muzzle device. Overall its in nice used condition and functions perfectly. Paypal only on this, gift (no fee) or goods/service with additional fee. Price includes shipping and is firm at $475.00.
