Buying it tomorrow for $1450. Life is short and I've had this kit for 2 yrs.

They might have something that suits your needs.
I looked nothing under $1600. Plus I have shipping and the transfer fee from my ffl. M1 carbines have really gone nuts in a few years.
I've been to 4 gun shows and looked on gunbroker and local classifieds for a year. I have seen nothing under that except universal, iver johnson, and plainfields.
I finally found an m1 host for my registered kit close to me. It's a national postal meter with Winchester barrel from CEMP with box. Seller wants $1500.

I was thinking olympic. They made billet and forged. I had a Wilson E.A. cast reciever that I wanted anodized 20 yrs ago and no one would touch it. Had to have it moly coated.
Some are cast and some forged. Forged either 6061 or 1075.
Ive owned 3 and currently have one. Last one I used a full auto rated screw on can. It got filled with shit quick but I could switch it to my Norell 10/22. Val told me an integral is best. I would call E&L and ask if he knows someone who can build it. You"ll just need a mid sized (16") donor barrel.

Bm59 and an M14 cost about the same.
Bm59 is arguably a better weapon. But parts are harder to find and less aftermarket material.
M14 parts are cheap and numerous with tons of information about the firearm out there and readily available.
If I were simply collecting I would have maybe went with the bm59 however I want to run and gun the thing. I went with the m14 and haven't looked back.
Hope this was helpful.
You are right on reading material. But parts are very plentiful for the BM59 and some cheaper than M14. Sarco has complete kits.
Ready to pull trigger on new machinegun. What are pros and cons to Bm59.
Clip on or push pin
I just tried fired it in my warehouse and it borders on needing ear protection. No where near 9mm suppressed. Good think it's a hybrid suppressor.
I finally got my custom upper done for my M16 and Omega 36. I have shot lots of suppressed pistol caliber but never rifle. I want to shoot at a friends property Sunday on 10 acres not so much in the country. Is the noise enough for neighbors to know its gunshots?

He said original C&R Swedish K in ad. No tube guns are C&R.
My A2 serial number is 3 digits lower than yours and has all the A2 reciever reinforcements and is AUTO marked.
You would think for a $20k scam those Nigerians would get a spell check app or hire someone to write it.
There is a reason no one bid higher. It's a scam. No good deals on machine guns are found on GB.
I just got an email it's back up.
Decided to go with 10.5" and he is using and oversized gas system.
My omega 36 just transferred in and it looks too long with the 20 inch barrel. My gunsmith is going to build me an upper this week. But he needs to know what barrel length. This is going on a Colt M16A2. Also should I ditch the fixed stock and get a collapsible one?
Thanks
My stepfather is retiring from a smaller size town sheriff this year. They have 4 AC556 folders they acquired in 1985. He cannot locate any paperwork. I would think they would have to be transferable? If so can a sheriff sell these to a private citizen?
Thanks
"He must forfeit his gun collection to the U.S. government". He had transferables and pre samples in his collection as well.
I wonder if/when fed's put his collection up for sale.
The ac556 reciever is longer and wider at the rear section for the selector. No way you could make a factory type conversion.

Picked it up this morning. Never having a vintage machinegun or any other wwii gun before it's amazing. Thinking about where it has been and who held it is crazy. The dings in the stock and finish wear and patina. A thompson might be next...
