  1. Hi all, I ended up selling my AK because it was standard Century Arms junk that was more trouble than it was worth. I have a few thousand rounds of sealed Golden Tiger 7.62x39. I am thinking that a local purchase makes more sense than trying to ship this stuff. I'll drive to meet someone in the area. $400 for a case seems reasonable. This is nice new ammunition that hasn't sat in a basement for 40 years. I recently lost my job and really need the money right now as bills are looming. I don't anticipate getting another AK any time soon. I can send pics. I don't have an image hosting site yet. I just read some of the UPS shipping guidelines and if I understand them properly, I'd also to do this ammo for $400 plus shipping to the lower '48. I didn't know they had a flat rate service and were still okay with ammunition. If I read it correctly, it should be 20 to 25 per box to ship. I would of course put a ton of tape on the box to reinforce it against the UPS drivers that seems to treat packages like shot putts. Ken
  2. Such knowledge and skills lost. Glad to know John has learned much of what his father had to share and is carrying on the tradition. RIP Stan
  3. Hi all, I know that I am a nobody on Sturm but I have been here for untold years learning from the resident experts. I just want to post a quick testimonial for TomF who is selling off some ammunition. I just received an order from him that was a bit shy of $1000. It arrived in great shape, well packed and was just as described. Some of the boxes had some honest shelf wear and had retail tags still affixed but I can't complain about the price, the shipping or the communication. If my word has any standing at all, Tom is honest and straightforward in his transactions. Feel free to message me if you have any concerns. Ken
  4. Thank you for the information - especially the shock sensitivity warning. I only have two - they were tossed in when I purchased some M-18 smokes many moons ago and I haven't figured out what to do with them. Ken
  5. Hi all, I found a couple of what appear to be Atwess simulators in the basement. Any idea if these are useful to anyone. I haven't ever seen them offered for sale. Not sure whether to offer them or to just soak them in a bottle of dilute nitric until they are deactivated. Any ideas would be useful. Ken
  6. Thanks for the info on this Buddy. I have never heard of it before. Sounds like a road trip is in order! Ken
  7. Hi all, This story is being splashed all over the place but the script is all the same. The facts as presented don't make sense. Are there cannon regulations that I don't know yet? The article says that it is a 1.25 inch cannon that can shoot a soda can (Measurements don't match) and that it was an unregistered DD. The articles are typically fact free and are just dramatic but this guy got two years for his red white and blue cannon. Anyone have any real facts behind this case? I know the ATF is really beginning to get all excited about their new found freedom to harass the law abiding but this seems like critical information is missing here. Ken The standard article - cut and pasted: A 63-year-old Garfield man will spend two years in federal prison after constructing a working red, white and blue cannon in his garage. Kent W. Kimberling has been in custody of the Spokane County Jail since January 2020. In August 2019, investigators with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms discovered the unregistered destructive device in the home he shares with his mother. Kimberling pleaded guilty in March to a single felony criminal count of possession of an unregistered destructive device. He had been facing a maximum 10-year prison sentence, and his sentencing hearing before U.S. District Court Judge William Fremming Nielsen was held in a closed courtroom Tuesday morning at the request of his defense attorney. Investigators went to Kimberling’s home to conduct a welfare check. They found the cannon, which was later tested by federal agents and found to be operational. It fired a soda can, “leaving a large hole in the center of (a) target,” according to court records. The bore of the cannon was measured to be 1¼ inches, greater than the ½ -inch bore permissible under federal law. Two other cannons were discovered, smaller than are prohibited by federal law. In an interview with agents, Kimberling said he believed construction of the device was legal. Investigators also said Kimberling told them “numerous times that he believed the police and police chief were out to get him and that the Town of Garfield is corrupt.” Kimberling’s defense argued that the 63-year-old is in poor health and cannot receive treatment while incarcerated at the jail. He also argued that he is the sole caretaker for his widowed mother in Garfield. Kimberling also disputed there was any threat made to public officials. The sentence includes a three-year period of supervised release after incarceration. Kimberling’s attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment on whether the months he’s spent in county jail would count toward his time in federal custody. Kimberling was listed in custody of the Spokane County Jail on Tuesday afternoon.
  8. Sir,

I am confused a bit by the stream.  Did the 303 end up selling?  I'd be interested if not.

  9. Hi all, Finances are forcing my hand. I have two Group Industries registered receiver Uzi's. I have to part with one. The first has black furniture including a black foregrip. The second has green furniture including the standard green foregrip. Both have light use and of course will run forever. I am not going to post pictures right now because of all of the scammers stealing them but can send them to interested parties. $15k starts the paperwork. I can meet at any central NH police station for an inspection for a small refundable fee (refunded if you decide to purchase). Thank you, Ken
