  2. Let me rephrase the suggestion. It could have been used on any number of military vehicles (Deuce and a half as an example) using a PTO units. As Gunbugs pointed our, the key way cuts could have been used for an alignment slot, shear pins or half moon keys. I believe that Navy Crane opened in the early 1940's and were also responsible for military vehicle and equipment development. With all the folks on this forum who have seen the pictures, you would believe someone would recognize it. Good luck on this quest.
  3. May be a PTO yoke/shaft from older farm equipment?
  4. Another quick item to bring. A GI tool bag (or a similar case). A lot of vendors may not a "bag" to put your found "treasures" in. Two or boxes of ammo can push a plastic bag to it's limits.
  5. I have not found the importer mark on the rifle (when you hit 70 years old, some things are not easy to read/see). I’ll let you know when I find the answer.
  6. We have for sale the following collectable firearms. 1. Lithgow L1A1 rifle. Colt SP1 carbine in excellent and original condition. Manufactured in 1980. $3200.00 SOLD 3. Chinese SKS 24 Mil. Rifle (1979 Manufacture). $925.00 SOLD
  7. I'll jump in with some quick tips: 1. Take cash and copies of your FFl (if applicable) 2. If you see it on the table and want / need it, buy it. If it is a fair deal, it WILL NOT be there on a second trip. 3. Take a small notebook (with pen) to take notes of locations to come back for something that may have catch your eye (see note 2) 4. Don't be afraid to buy a large / heavy item. There are "mules (M247)" that will carry it to the parking lot (small fee/tip). 5. Most vendors will "hold" an item after you pay for it (go get the mule / carry out on second trip) 6. Don't be shy about making a "fair" offer to vendor. I hope this helps. We have been a vendor at the creek for 30 years. Going to have to find something else to do in April and October. PS: We are located at C-18 R&R Enterprises Stop by and say hello!

  11. Is there any proof marks and what caliber is the revolver? I believe the answer to who manufactured this revolver lies in the grip marking (arrow in the crest). I checked my reference books and could not find a match to the marking. French / German / Spanish??.
  12. Been a vendor since 1991 so we'll be there!
  13. Thanks that's one I was thinking of. Do you recall when and why it ended? Frank We (R&R Enterprises) set up as vendors in 1999 and 2000. It was a good show to attend because of it being held in July (between the April/October Knob Creek Shows). This Knob Creek Show will mark our 30th year as a vendor at Knob Creek. Below is a good link to an article from the July 2000 Small Arms Review. https://www.smallarmsreview.com/display.article.cfm?idarticles=2936
