Nice!
I’m amazed you didn’t ruin the OPROD tower!
What’s the trick to avoiding it?

Not imported FOR a fed agency instead imported DIRECTLY BY a fed agency
Agree, It is an oddball case & that there is always risk that ATF could change their mind on the classification
11 minutes ago, Firelizzard said:I am confused here, everyone keeps talking about the year 1984 as the manufacture date. Isn't anything made or registered on or before May 19th 1986 able to be considered Transferable?
A MG imported post 1968 GCA is a dealer sample (what are now called pre86 dealer samples) as opposed to post-86 dealer samples.
Most transferables were either imported pre-1968, manufactured in the US pre-86, are legal mil bringbacks, or amnesty registered (possibly imported illegally). There appear to be a few other ways to get into the registry as a transferable, but are very uncommon.
Was the gun imported by Feds? If so, I’m not sure the same rules apply…. Is there an import mark?
fwiw, the old thread noted above also alludes to to this imported by feds situation.
My understanding is only guns directly imported by a federal agency and subsequently transferred to public would be treated this way. Anything imported via a type8 FFL (importer) would be subject to normal rules (even if imported for a fed agency)
There was another batch of fed agency imported Mp5s auctioned a couple years back as transferable with aft blessing apparently. Nothing says they won’t change their mind in the future, though…
I’ll take the e4 barrel - pm inbound

Great to see your project coming together -
congrats !!!
@StrangeRanger fwiw, I've found a liberal application of grease to the tower/bolt interface significantly reduces / eliminates wear.
@Aaron in Mohnton Pa I'm super excited to see this new source of bolts come to market & hope folks will post some range reports and/or pics after shooting a few thousand rounds (bolt + before/after pics of the barrel extension that used with the bolt would be helpful as well!).

Hi Jeff, I’m not interested in one of those at this time. Appreciate the response.

Hi,
I’m looking for a Knight’s M2HB railed optics mount and BE Meyers BOARS-M2 optics mount.
Let me know price and condition.
Contact via IM is best
Thanks for looking,

Looking for a complete MK93 mod2 (or MK93 mod 4 ) in working order.
Contact by IM is best
Thanks in advance,
Matt
+2 on the positive feedback for Cryostructure
This auction had an M79 and 3 M2s

10.5K M79: https://www.rockislandauction.com/detail/4090/454/varo-m79-blooper-grenade-launcher-class-iiinfa
64.6K Real C&R M2: https://www.rockislandauction.com/detail/4090/477/us-springfield-m2ac-class-iiinfa-cr-fully-transferable
47K Real C&R M2 w/issues: https://www.rockislandauction.com/detail/4090/3502/us-kelseyhayes-m2-class-iiinfa-cr-fully-transferable-mg
32K Sideplate M2: https://www.rockislandauction.com/detail/4090/1495/berton-r-miller-m2-class-iiinfa-fully-transferable
IMHO, the M79 sold above mkt and the sideplate M2 sold below mkt
Re: M2 accessories - Usually you can maximize value selling by accessories separately from gun, but for an M2, less easy to sell and most likely
will get help the gun for a higher price to a potential buyer... Factory ammo certainly has value separately, but 50ammo can be difficult to ship...
Re: sideplate gun differences - IMHO, there is much difference between them - builder & config prob impacts more and anything else.
Whoa - pretty cool - Registered trunion or marked elsewhere? Translation? Who is the mfg on the paperwork?
@SGT Fish is dead on with his M79 #s. Even a well-used factory gun will bring 6K+ & I'd say a perfect/museum-quality TRW or Springfield is 10K tops.
Re: sideplate M2HBs - I think you should expect ~50K will close a sale. I'm aware of recent sales both above & below that number by a wide margin.
Still looking
No personal experience, but others have suggested this setup:
A5 tube / 308 Tubb spring and 9mm Kynshot hydraulic
See link below for details

LOL, I wonder how many of these they sold over the weekend based on the original posting...
Cryostructure seems to have moved some inventory as well...
I popped for the dry-film version, what says the hive-mind: regular vs dry-film?
41 minutes ago, MP5 said:What if I put all three calibers: “ .308/30-‘06/8mm “ ?? Bad idea? Good idea?
Bad idea - just use 0.30
Think of it like ordering French Fries @ McDonalds drive thru - you can say whatever you want, but the guy on the other end only had S/M/L buttons on his computer - you can’t order SMLargeish - it’s simply not on the menu…
Vollmer hk51b - do links need to be stretched?

I assume you are using M13 links.
HK21/21E/MG3/51B all use M13 links when run in 7.62x51 (unless the gun it setup for belts which requires different feed mech parts).
FWIW. I've never seen a 51B setup for belts
You can try opening the links a bit, but my guess is that you have a weak recoil spring.
