  12. Used NVEC (NVS) VITAL-2 IR laser in proper functional condition. The unit is in good physical condition with some minor scuffs and come with a soft case, manual, corded tape switch, paddle switch, integral ARMS throw lever mount (nope, you can’t replace it w/ a LaRue mount), new unused barrel mounting hardware, 2x AA batteries. Note pictures of nicks in switch cord which I could have repaired but I wanted to show it as is. NVEC did not sell new IR laser products directly to civilians, so they VERY rarely come to market legitimately. There is no law against buying one or owning one in general as these are Class 1 laser devices per the FDA (also stamped on each and every unit). This is an IR laser, IR LASERS CAN ONLY BE SEEN THROUGH NIGHT VISION. The VITAL-2 has variable power adjustment (Class 1 max 0.7 mW) which allows for using it at most any range w/o blooming your NVDs. This is a fantastic feature! The unit has settings to use just the IR laser or both the IR laser and the short range LED IR illuminator which will provide limited wide-angle illumination out to around 25 yards. The laser modes are as following: OFF, steady laser, slow pulse laser, fast pulse laser, steady laser/low illuminator, steady laser/high illuminator. The low illuminator mode is VERY low output, you really have to look hard to see it. The high illuminator output, however, is useful for short range illumination. These are fully adjustable for windage and elevation via finger-adjustable click adjustments. The manual gives instructions for zeroing on 12 o’clock rail position. If mounting the laser on 3 o’clock rail, the turrets mimic exactly how standard riflescopes track (clockwise rotation of 12 o’clock adjuster moves point of impact down, clockwise rotation of 3 o’clock adjuster moves point of impact left). The easiest way to zero these is to attach them to a rifle w/ an optic that is already zeroed, look through the optic w/ your night vision device, and adjust the laser dot to coincide (or closely offset) with the point of aim on the optic. Windage and elevation adjustments are in 0.4 mrad increments with 36 clicks (14.4 mrad) per revolution and ~91.2 mrad total travel. You can mount this on anything w/ a pic rail, regardless of caliber. These take two standard AA batteries; cheap, common, disposable, PERFECT. The battery life w/ constant use is rated at 40 hours. I had one test unit in which I loaded the batteries in March 2012 and left the unit in the OFF position in the safe. Its batteries were still functioning as of May 2014 indicating that there is no apparent battery drain in the OFF position. That being said, I can’t say I recommend ever storing batteries in equipment for long periods. There is no warranty with these units, only a 72 hour inspection period as detailed below. That being said, these things are extremely tough so, unless you literally beat the living hell out of them, you’ll probably never have any issues. Something to note here, ANY attempt at disassembling a VITAL-2 unit will permanently render it disabled, the manufacturer designed it that way to prevent tampering. Units that have been tampered with in this way are very obvious and NO refund will provided in such instances. In order to be eligible to purchase this unit from me, you must agree to NOT export this item, and indicate to me that you will not be acting in contravention w/ any state or local laws (regarding light-emitting devices) by owning this item. This I will discuss w/ the buyer via phone or email (buyer’s preference). This probably seems a little overboard, but I WILL NOT sell this to someone I am suspicious of having ulterior motives that could put our men and women overseas in danger. I reserve the right to refuse sale of this item if any suspicions arise. For some reason I can't get my images to attach even when I try to resize them. If interested PM me, we will exchange email addresses and I should then be able to send you pictures. I will however be out of town and away from my computer 11/27thru 12/1. Price is $450 shipped.

  15. Who is the best gunsmith to get a customer’s West Hurley Thompson running properly?
  16. At least two FFL’s have had their licenses revoked in our area for seemingly minor 4473 issues. Some say it is part of a Biden plan to put as many of us out of business as possible. On the current form 4473 (revised Dec 2022) section 21 21.n.1. And 21.n.2 a notation says (U.S. citizens/nationals leave 21.n.1 and 21.n.2 blank). A few of my US customers have just checked NO on those two lines rather than leaving blank. Does anyone see an issue with that or has anyone been hassled over it during an inspection? Thanks in advance.
  17. Item has sold. Thanks for all the interest! Very nice original WWII Nazi Luftwaffe Officers 2nd Model Dagger. Very nice shape with no dents in scabbard. 10” blade marked Luneschloss Soligen shows nice cross grain and no signs of polishing or sharpening. Nice tight wire wrap on handle. All in all a very nice example. These are currently offered in $500 plus range in similar condition. Price is $350 Still having difficulties adding photos. PM me if interested and I will send pictures to your email address. JDG Enterprise. Another member asked if there was rust on blade. I ran a fingernail over it and they are stains not rust. Stained areas feel as smooth as rest of blade. Money back on this one if not satisfied. Lots of interest. Think I underpriced!
  18. Description: SOLD: A very nice Model 12 built in 1925 that has seen little use. Take down action is as tight as the day it was built with little to no wear showing from bolt movement on inside of receiver. 30" Full choke 12 GA barrel with factory solid vent rib. Bright shiny bore looks new. I would rate the original blue at 90% plus. Please look carefully at photos. There is some evidence of blueing damage on right side of receiver when you get the light just right. Original stock retains 90% of its original finish as well. The old recoil pad will need replacement of course. LOP including recoil pad is 14 1/4". Firearm is C&R eligible and comes with a nice tooled leather vintage leg of mutton case in excellent shape except for a broken closure strap which would be easily replaced. I am open to reasonable offers on this fine Winchester. These old Model 12’s would slam fire by holding the trigger back and working the action which allows you to put a lot of lead down range! Cut the barrel back to 18 1/2” and it would make a great house gun if you don’t want to keep it original. Make me a reasonable offer. Selling for a friend. PM me for more pictures or details. Having issues adding photos for some reason. JDG Enterprise
  19. I have had experience selling Class III items (suppressors and SBR's) to LE with their request on letterhead but a local LE wants to sell/dispose of 4 HK 416 select fire rifles that they possess. What are their options?
  20. Thanks Gents. Cody got with me too. Successfully submitted. This forum is a Hell of a great resource!
  21. Been a while since I submitted an EForm 3 from me (an SOT) to another SOT. Background is this UZI was being transferred from the owner (non SOT) with $200 tax paid to me. Submitted on paper to BATF it took forever but was finally approved. I called BATF RE status and was told it was approved on 8/19/23. I checked my inventory status on-line and sure enough it shows as in my inventory. I have not however received a copy of the stamped approved Form 4. When I tried to write the Eform 3 I get to bus stop 7 "Electric Documents". Not sure what I need to add there. Do I just have to wait till I receive the paper copy of the approved Form 4 in the mail, scan that, and attach it? Advice appreciated Thanks.
  22. FIREARM HAS BEEN SOLD THANK YOU! COLT PEACEMAKER CONVERTIBLE REVOLVER WITH TWIN CYLINDERS 22 LR AND 22 MAGNUM CASE HARDENED FRAME BLUED 4.4" BARREL PRODUCED IN 1975 BARELY USED EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ORIGINAL BOX This beautiful example could pass for new with the 22 magnum cylinder installed (mag cylinder never fired). The 22 LR cylinder appears to have been fired but very little. Finish is easily 98% throughout with only a very slight drag line on 22 LR cylinder. Perfect grips, frame, and brilliant case colors. Original box is included but in rough shape. Original markings on label are barely visible but still there. I did not want to alter the box in any way so chose not to re-ink the label markings. More pictures available. Dave Gilmore $1,300.00 plus applicable shipping. PM or text 913-488-1459. Please don't just call, we get too many spam calls and won't pick up.
  23. Good article. RE current prices, I sold two boxed examples as shown both in the $98-$110K range. Thanks
