  1. Do the WW I mags have any sort of markings on the butt plate? Can you post some pictures of the WW I 1911 mags that you have? I may have a couple really old ones laying around, but would like to see some pictures of what you are talking about, for comparison.
  2. I may have some. Are you looking for specific issues, or just ....... whatever, of that vintage?
  3. It's been a while since I have looked in my HK spare parts box, but .......... are these locking pins typically marked with those numbers?
  4. Can you provide a bit more info on what exactly were the "NOS" original internal RPB and MAC parts that were used?
  5. In the Manufacturer column of the eForms inventory database, what exactly does "Form 2 Registration" mean?
  6. How is this done? What's the process? Is it just a letter to ATF/NFA Division, with a date for letting the SOT go? Anyone have a template of this or willing to relate their experience? If it's just a letter that is used, would this be included as an attachment with the first eForm "no law letter" transfer? I'm wondering if I can sort of "pre-advertise" and/or "pre-sell" my Post-86's as No Law Letter guns, then when it is time to start the first eForms transfer, include my official notification of the date of discontinuing my SOT with that electronic submission. And just to confirm: Is the timeframe 90 days? And does that timeframe run from the date of original notification to ATF up to the last transfer's submission, or till the final approval of the last transfer?
  7. Are GPS trackers suitable to be put in with a firearm(s) shipment commercially available? What are they called? (Brand name and model?)
  8. Does anyone have contact information for the forum administrators? A mailing address would be great, to send them a check. Or another method to contact them, so a credit card could be used for a yearly membership. Any information appreciated. (You can message me the information, or post it here, so others may benefit.)
  9. I was wondering if anyone wanted to share their recent experiences with shipping MG's (FFL Dealer, to FFL Dealer) via FedEx and USPS Registered Mail? FedEx seems to want a lot of forms and agreements on file ahead of time, and I can't even get ahold of anyone (an "Account Executive"?) to talk to. And how is FedEx with claims? USPS Registered Mail has worked well in the past, but tracking of those packages, once they are "in the system" seems like it is not consistent; the packages often disappear from the tracking history for 1-2 weeks, then eventually re-appear at a hub that is close to the destination. It's a bit nerve-wracking. Anyone here ever had a USPS Registered Mail package get lost or stolen, particularly from within the USPS system? And what about claims for lost or damaged USPS Registered Mail? Any info appreciated.
  10. Or the Tampa/Hillsborough Co. area? Gonna be in that vicinity soon and might want to see what folks have for sale.
  11. Wow that was quick. Was your request for a copy of an old Form 2 or other original NFA Registration form for a particular gun? Or was it something else? It's been 8 months since I requested NFA Div to add a few missing guns to my eForms inventory - even sent them copies of the current registration forms - and that still hasn't happened!
  12. Does anyone have a template of a letter they have used - successfully - for an FOIA request to get the original paperwork on an NFA gun? I've been told this is possible, but would like to get a copy of a "successfully" used letter (template). Also, who does it get sent to? ATF/NFA Division? Or ....??? And about how long does it take for a response? Any info from those who have done this before would be greatly appreciated.
  13. Does ATF/NFA Div “recognize” (honor for transfer purposes) LE Demo letters for somewhat modern SMGs and MGs? I’m specifically referring to guns like the HK MP5, HK53, HK33, Colt 9mm SMG, Uzi 9mm SMG (“modern”-ish commercial models), Steyr MPi-81, etc. Any info or personal experiences relating to transfer attempts with these sorts of guns is appreciated.
  14. What if I put all three calibers: “ .308/30-‘06/8mm “ ?? Bad idea? Good idea?
  15. Yeah, that might be the easiest thing to do. But the current Registration Form it is on has nothing in the caliber box; it's just blank. So I am wondering if I put something/anything in there on the new Form 3 that I send in, and then ATF compares that new Form 3 to the current Registration form in their Registry - and sees a blank caliber box on that - if it will result is some adverse response from the NFA Examiner. Like, it'll get kicked back because the newly submitted form doesn't exactly agree with the current form. It's a conundrum.
  16. Here's a question for you experienced folks .......... I have a MG that I got in 1994 that needs to be transferred out on a paper Form 3. (It's so old that it doesn't appear in my eForms inventory.) On the original [approved] 1994 Form, Box 4(c) for the caliber was left blank, probably because it came with three different caliber bbls; the Transferor never put anything in that box, and it was approved like that almost 30 years ago. My question is: Do I put those three calibers in Box 4(c) of the new Form 3's I'm going to make up, and submit it (USPS Mail it) like that? Or do I leave that box blank, like it is on the previously approved 1994 form? Since I am doing this by mail, I'd really like to make sure it is correct when I mail it in, so I don't get it back - rejected - in 3 or 4 weeks, and have to start the paper form mail-in process all over again. Has anyone else dealt with this sort of thing, or something similar? Any info greatly appreciated.
  17. From what I have read so far, I've gotten the impression that while fax submissions are ok (who has a fax machine anymore?) NFA Div doesn't allow email Form 3 submissions. Have you actually done a Form 3 submission successfully via email? What email address did you use?
  18. A "related" question: Does anyone have a template of the letter to NFA Div that is supposed to be used when submitting a form 3 via fax? Or a link to somewhere online where ATF might have put a template of the letter to be used for this purpose?
  19. Thanks for the responses. Since faxing is a bit "90's" - and I haven't had or used a fax machine in well over a decade - can any of you youthful and tech savvy folks recommend a free iPhone or iPad app that does outbound faxes? If the paperwork will come back to me via mail, I don't really need anything with inbound fax capability.
  20. If it is submitted via Fax, does it come back to the Transferor by fax also? I don't have a dedicated fax line or fax machine and would have to use an iPhone fax or something else, so I am concerned about how I would get the form back. Also, if it is faxed, does it have to be faxed in duplicate?
  21. If you don't find what you are looking for, I have both a M16A1 and M16A2 (both are Colts and transferable) that I might be persuaded to part with at market price(s). Both in stock, both are PD trade-ins from probably 25+ years ago in EXC condition, and unfired since I've had them. Message me if interested.
  22. "Then you need one (slightly redacted) copy to the CLEO (11-13)" This seems appropriate, but how/what particular information would you suggest be redacted? And to what does "11-13" refer? (I'm admittedly not very familiar with Form 4's so pardon my ignorance.)
